About Us

Inspired by the rows and rows of boulangeries in Paris, France, La Maison du Pain manifested out of a passion to create fresh-quality bread and pastries accessible to the many communities of Los Angeles.

La Maison du Pain was established by two sisters and their family. They opened their oven doors in the August of 2005 and the fresh aroma of their delicacies was welcomed by their Pico neighborhood.

La Maison du Pain is not only a bakery. It is a place where artists sketch, and where lawyers and doctors take their croissant and coffee break. It is a place where babies take their first steps and say their first words. It is where actors and actresses read over their scripts and have their breakfast. A place where couples refuse to share their chocolate croissant with each other. La Maison du pain is not just the House of Bread, it's home.
